At this Wind Down Workshop with Manoj, you will understand and learn essential body and breath tools that will help you snap out of disturbing states and make you a better responder in challenging situations. 

It’s no doubt that stress and anxiety eats away at our mental health. We are constantly exposed to external triggers of anxiety that range from social media captures of faraway war scenes, local news of blatant political corruption, to personal worries stemming from financial and relationship instabilities. All these create an inner atmosphere of deep unrest, tension and anxiety, which are not ideal states of self healing as we step into the new year. 

How can we use our practice to calm the mind and create space to accommodate it all without getting overwhelmed?

In this workshop, Manoj will guide us through ways of inner and outer practices, including restorative supported postures, deep non-sleep rest, contemplations and breath movements that will allow us to engage with the world from an awakened compassionate heart, …a place from which we can heal ourselves and others. 

Come and be guided into essential winding down techniques, which you can take home and practice whenever you feel you need to. Let’s move towards the new year with hope and a clean slate.

  • Put on low lights (candle light works)
  • Diffuse some soothing scents (lavender or chamomile are relaxing)
  • Optional but useful: weighted eye masks, small grain filled pillows, blanket

Principal Teacher

Manoj is one of the leading yoga teachers with a unique ability for helping people release the physical, mental and emotional obstacles that prevent them from achieving their very best in life and business. He, along with his wife Sandhya, conceptualized Manasa Yoga as a specific style of yoga in 2002. Manoj was introduced to yoga at the tender age of seven by his grandparents and later, further refined his knowledge by spending time with traditions such as the Sivananda Ashram, Iyengar Yoga, Pattabhi Jois’ Ashtanga Vinyasa, etc. Originally from Kerala, India, he has been a resident of Malaysia since the late nineties. Yoga philosophy is his passion and everyday he looks forward to taking his students on a journey of embodying a piece of yogic philosophy through their mat practice. Off the mat, he delivers yoga related talks at international and local health related events and writes inspirational pieces. In the last 10 years, he has written 2 books that have been distributed by MPH Distributors. Manoj has been featured in the Star, News Strait Times as well as the Edge several times. He has also appeared on BFM, NTV 7 and Astro several times.
